Google Gemini vs. ChatGPT vs. Copilot: An Unbiased Quality Comparison
I know these AI tools compete with each other, and we see significant improvements in the content they generate. But we can’t see the quality up to satisfaction compared to human-written content. Meanwhile, it would be interesting to discuss comparing content quality between Google Gemini, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot.
Which of them produces the best response or content?
Which one will you use for your content marketing needs? In this article, I will share the responses each of these popularly used AI tools generate for my simple prompt.
Testing their response quality or capabilities doesn’t need exceptional knowledge. Just think of a simple question you can answer easily. Or think of a topic that is familiar to you and teach someone very well. Type your prepared question into ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot, then compare their responses. That’s all!
Let’s see how I assessed the content quality they generated and ideas for improving their content.
It’s about a place which has been very familiar to me since childhood. My question with a simple trick is:
Why is Wangjing an important city in Thoubal District?
To start with, l asked first to ChatGPT.
It is the free ChatGPT 3.5 version. It answered as shown below:
It’s a shockingly wrong answer. If you don’t know this place before, you will take this answer as correct, and even you may publish it on your website or elsewhere.
Let’s analyze the response with you.
The question affects ChatGPT's answer. See the phrase “…as an industrial hub” in the first line. In reality, Wangjing was never an industrial hub. And never pharmaceuticals! The place is indeed a strategic location along the Imphal-Moreh National Highway but is no longer a commercial center and transportation hub in the region.
Next, let’s see Copilot’s output with the same question:
Copilot corrected Wangjing as a town. Yes, it is not a city. Thanks to Copilot! I tricked that in the question. Its answer is sourced from Wikipedia, so it is factually correct.
Now, let’s see Gemini’s output:
The above-displaying part of the Gemini answer needs editing. The population section within the output text might come from an old source. As a search-enabled AI, why is Gemini weak to show the current status of this place? Nagar Panchayat was about years ago; Wangjing was already upgraded as a major part of the Municipal Council some years ago. But, where Google Gemini shines is significantly correcting Wangjing as a town in the closing section.
When I analyze Copilot and Gemini’s answers, both produce acceptable responses. If we look closely, Copilot generates a simplistic and direct response by citing sources, while Gemini, like a skilled writer, generates the response.
On the other hand, ChatGPT’s answer is not acceptable. It’s imaginary and responds incorrectly following the question’s direction.
Use AI responsibly!
From my analysis, I conclude as follows:
- Google Gemini generates its response with a style guide. But it needs revision and editing.
- Microsoft Copilot produces factually correct output like a straightforward writer.
- ChatGPT could not answer properly even though the question was not time-sensitive.
- Content quality by AI content writers needs improving. There are risks in publishing their content without proper revision.
- Users must improve AI-generated content, adding value for their audience.
However, they could improve the responses if we use better prompts. Here comes the significance of AI prompt engineering. If you input better prompts in the AI, you can get better results with minimum edits.

On the other hand, I see less-known AI tools that don’t require prompt engineering skills. For example, NeuronWriter can research and write SEO-friendly content that has the potential to rank high in Google. If you are a content writer, you can try such AI writers from AppSumo.
